This week I watched CBS’s salute to the music of the Bee Gee’s. After watching so many popular artists recreate the magic associated with these iconic songs, I had to rewatch the classic “Saturday Night Fever.” Later in the week, I also rented the disaster of a movie, “Shut In” and enjoyed the ’90s vibes from “Practical Magic.”
Marvel just released their new trailer for “Thor: Ragnarok” and it looks like it might be taking tips from “Guardians of the Galaxy.” I also rewatched one of my favorite Gothic films, “Crimson Peak.” I’ve also become obsessed with “The Great British Baking Show” on Netflix.
After my content-filled post last week, I took it down a notch with my viewing habits. I was not able to make it out to the theater this week, but I did spend some time on the couch watching “Nocturnal Animals.” Keeping with the trailer theme from last week as well, I share my current thoughts on the new and terrifying “Annabelle: Creation” trailer.
This week I rewatched the anime “Ghost in the Shell” before seeing the new, live-action and highly controversial version in theaters. Later in the post, I share my thoughts and excitement for the newly released teaser trailer for “It.” Plus, I finally got the chance to rent “The Edge of Seventeen.”
Well technically I went to the theater this weekend, but I didn’t see something new. Instead, I decided to see “Beauty and the Beast” for a second time! I fell into the Disney spell and revisited Cinderella and I also enjoyed rewatching my favorite episodes of “The Office” on Netflix.
This ongoing series is a week by week overview of my media highlights. This week I talk about my love for “Logan”, my disappointment in “Kong: Skull Island” and my new favorite YouTube channel!
